Our detailed and continuously updated care plans make it not only straight forward for our team members to work with your needs but are unique to the clients’ habits, routines, likes, and dislikes.
That is just one of the ways we strive to promote our clients’ independence and individuality. In fact, we promote independence to the maximum. The assistance and confidence we can give our clients is invaluable. It may be to hold an arm whilst they go on a walk in the park that they wouldn’t consider doing on their own, baking with them to support their local good cause or assisting them to get washed and dressed ready for church.
Companionship and Hobby Fulfilment
We believe that hobbies are important and that they are key for mind stimulation. We would always encourage our clients to maintain them whilst ever their interest is still there. This may be baking, shopping, cross stitch or just general socialising. You may think that some interests fade as difficulty creeps in however, there are many adaptations that can be made in order to keep the flame alite. We recognise that companionship is so important and so is consistency. This is why we carefully pair our PA's and clients to allow conversation and activities to be shared and enjoyed in a genuinely, mutual way. This builds great relationships and trust. This is often is the beginning of acceptance with personal care if, as and when this may be needed.
